THE SCENE. EMMA. WELL, YOU KNOW, WE’RE IN ONE OF THOSE OFF WEST END APARTMENTS IN FAYETTEVILLE. LOOK AT THIS DAMAGE. YOU CAN SEE ALL THE MUD WATER ON THE FLOOR AND ALL THE ITEMS THIS COUPLE TRIED TO PULL OUT OF THE GROUND. I WILL PHOGOTRAPHER AVERY RETURN TO THEIR BATHROOM WHERE YOU CAN REALLY SEE THE EXTENT OF THE DAMAGE HERE A COUPLE IN THEIR SEVEN MONTH MONTH DAUGHTER HERE THIS MORNING AROUND 3:00 AM WHEN WATER STARTED RUSHING INTO THEIR ARTEMENT. THEY SAY, FROM THE TIME THE WATER STARTED UNTIL THE TIME IT STARTED, IT WAS APPROXIMATELY AN HOUR AND A HALF. AND THEY SAY THEY HAVE OPENED THR EIDOOR. THE WATER STARTED TO COME IN AND THE CURRENT WAS TOO FAST OUTSIDE THAT THEY CANNOT BE EVACUATED. SAY THE OFFICIALS TOLD THEM TO STAY INSIDE THE APARTMENT UNTIL THE WATER HAS DOWN. YOU CAN SEE JUST THE DAMAGE AMOUNT HERE. WE DON’T KNOW EXACTLY HOW MANY WERE EVACUATED THIS MORNING, BUT DO KNOW POLICE WERE ON THE SCENE AROUND 315 THIS MORNING. AND SOME PEOPLE HAD TO BE EVACUATED BY BOATS THIS MORNING. WE TALKED TO THE MAN WHO LIVED IN THIS ARTPAMENT AND HE ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE THIS MORNING, SCARYING HIM WHEN HENE WAKED UP TO WATER RUSHING INTO HIS APARTMENT. TAKE A LISTENING. I WENT TO OPEN THE DOOR AND THE WATER JUST COME OVER. THEN I CLOSED THE DOOR AND LOOKED OUT THE WINDOW AND THE OLE AR WASEA FLOODED WITH A NEXT RESPONSE. ALL THE WAY BACK, ALL THE WAY HERE. SO I DIDN’T KNOW WHAT TO DO AND I THOUGHT ABOUT MY DAUGHTER AND THE PARAMEDICS CAME OVER AND IT WAS LIKE, YOU MIGHT AS WELL STAY IN THE WELL, NOT ME TOO. THERE IS LIKE YOU WILL BE BETTER, STAYING IN AN APARTMENT AND TRYING TO WALK HER THROUGH ALL THIS GARBAGE SO WE JUST STAY IN APARTMENT UNTIL. IT HAS STOPPED FOR A LITTLE TIME AND NOW WE NEED TO CLEAN IT. I DON’T KNOW IF YOU CAN HEAR, BUT LITTLE OLIVIA HERE RIGHT NOW, THE SAFE FAMILIS. THEY ARE FINE. THEIR BUSINESS IS DAMAGED, BUT THEY ARE SAFE. SAY THAT’S ALL THAT MATTERS. NOW OF COURSE WE WILL BRING YOU THE DETAILS ABOUT THIS FLOOD IN THIS APARTMENT. AND WE KNOW WEDINGTON WAS UTSH DOWN FOR A BIT THIS MORNING WHEN THESE FLOOD WATERS ARE RAGING HERE ATHT IS APARTMENT. WE WILL BE AT YOUR LAST AS WE GET IT.
