Hitman 3 Publisher tries to offer compensation on Steam

After Blowback, IO Interactive offers Hitman upgrades thanks to negative Steam reviews

Thanks to Hitman 3 being full price on Steam, there’s been a lot of backlash against the game. Normally going full price is fine, but it’s been out on the Epic Game Store for a year. And also, Epic Game Store had the game on sale, until recently.

So, IO Interactive, the developers and publishers of Hitman 3 decided to do something about it. At least, for those who have already purchased a copy of the game on Steam. For those who have already purchased the standard edition, their copies of Hitman 3 will be upgraded to the Deluxe version of the game. This means there will be bonus features, new costumes to wear, digital OSTs and commentary from developers.

And for those who have already purchased the Hitman Trilogy, they will receive the DLC sequel based on the Seven Deadly Sins for free. It’s currently seven separate DLCs, which are usually priced at CDN$6.49, and together would cost CDN$45.43 if purchased individually.

hitman 3 season of gluttony release date

Although the full game and the bundle are currently not on discount (which may be inconvenient for would-be players) at the time of this writing, some of the bundles are currently on Steam. The Hitman Trilogy Premium add-on pack is currently 25% off, the Seven Deadly Sins Collection is 15% off, and the Hitman Access Pass: Hitman 2 Gold is 7% off. The Premium add-on seems to give away a lot, including a Hitman 1 upgrade, a Hitman 2 expansion pass, and the Hitman 3 Deluxe bundle, but it’s still 77.22 CDN. Additionally, the Access Pass grants you access to other locations from previous games, but they are priced at 44.99 and 49.99 each.

Those who continue to purchase the standard edition and the trilogy will be able to take advantage of this offer on Steam until February 19, 2022. Whether these freebies and bundles are worth it, and what players think of them, we we will have to see.
