July Launches 2nd Anchorage Summer Arts in the Park | Latest news

The Anchorage Summer Arts Twin The Park (ASAP) series continues this weekend with free outdoor performances on the lawn of the Anchorage Museum and Town Square Park at the Alaska Performing Arts Center. This series is the result of a collaboration between the Anchorage Museum, the Alaska Performing Arts Center, the Anchorage Downtown Partnership and the Alaska Independent Musician Initiative (AKIMI).

ASAP has a bit of everything, focusing on local artists to get back to the normal Alaskan summer.

This weekend’s performance will include a variety of musical performances, from accordions and violinist to local punk rock bands.

• 7:00 p.m. – Alaska Main Squeeze at Town Square Park / PAC

Program of events for Saturday July 10:

• 7:00 p.m. – sideways at Town Square Park / PAC

Upcoming ASAP performances will be returning performances by dancers from Emma Hill, Parlor in the Round, Anchorage Symphony Orchestra, Arctic Entry, Anchorage Guitar Duo and Alaska Native Heritage Center.
