PubMatic Names Lashanne Phang Global Mobile Leader

PubMatic has appointed Lashanne Phang as Senior Director of Mobile to focus on growing the company’s global mobile business. In her new role, Phang (pictured) will relocate to California and build on the important global brand and publisher relationships she has developed and explore potential new opportunities.

This includes promoting the growth of PubMatic’s OpenWrap SDK unified auction product, building relationships with mobile game developers and connecting them to brand advertising demand, and driving interest in PubMatic’s addressability solutions. She most recently served as Director of Publisher Development for Asia Pacific, where she led the development of the company’s mobile and omnichannel business in the region. Prior to joining PubMatic in 2019, Phang held sales and business development roles at Smaato, Arton Capital and Experian.

“We are committed to bringing new monetization opportunities to mobile publishers with programmatic brand spend. Additionally, creating value for buyers has been a key differentiator for PubMatic and it will remain a priority,” Phang said.

Mobile is a key growth area for the company in 2022 and is part of a suite of multi-device, multi-screen offerings for buyers and publishers. As recently reported, PubMatic’s revenue from fast-growing mobile and omnichannel ad formats, which includes CTV, grew 64% year-over-year and accounted for 65% of total revenue in the third quarter of 2021. According to Magna, mobile programmatic advertising is a $47 billion global market, expected to grow 16% annually from 2022 to 2025.
