Peshawar-Chief Executive Officer (MD) of Small Industries Development Board (SIDB) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Zafar Ali Shah, said that the board will soon announce the allocation of plots in two new industrial zones.
The two new industrial estates are Small Industries Estate Peshawar II and Small Industries Estate Bannu II. He voiced these views during an interview with a delegation from the Peshawar Chamber of Small Traders and Industries (PCSTI) here on Thursday.
The delegation included PCSTI President Khalid Farooq Malik, Atif Shehzad and former House Speaker Adnan Jalil. Besides, Director (Finance) SIDB, Sohail Aziz, Deputy Managing Director, Saleem and Co-Director, Naseerud-din were also present on the occasion.
The MD SIDB indicated that for the first SME will also be offered the opportunity to apply for industrial plots and for this purpose, the plots of five marla would also be offered to small industrialists and traders. He said that the Peshawar II and Bannu II estates will be one-of-a-kind industrial estates and in this respect all small and large industrialists will be catered for. He said that, given the advice of local industrialists, all basic facilities would be provided in these new areas.
Zafar Ali Shah said that Small Industries Estate Peshawar II will offer plots of 5, 10, 20 and 40 marla. He said that on the directives of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa CM Special Assistant on Industries and Commerce, a 20% quota of plots has been allocated to overseas Pakistanis.
