PITTSBURGH — Channel 11 gets our first look at the chaos that ensued outside Destiny of Faith Church last Friday afternoon, when six people were injured in a shooting.

FRONT COVER: 6 people injured after shooting outside Brighton Heights funeral in Pittsburgh

We have obtained exclusive surveillance video which shows how quickly the shooting happened and the terror the mourners must have felt upon entering the church.

At first, you can see the people on screen realizing that someone is shooting a gun, and they run away.

Next, the horse-drawn carriage which brought the coffin at high speed down Brighton Road after one of the horses was hit by bullet fragments.

That’s when a man appears, dressed all in black, while wearing a ski mask, and firing a pistol in all directions.

After the shooter flees, a woman hobbles towards the church, and after finally getting inside, the church doors are closed and secured.

The terrifying scene took place outside John Hornezes’ funeral at Destiny of Faith Church.

The man you see shooting the gun is either Shawn Davis or Hezekiah Nixon.

These are the two accused in the shooting. Investigators say they used surveillance video to identify them and caught up to them that evening on the McKees Rocks Bridge.

On Friday, we showed you what Hornezes family and friends went through inside the church on a live video that recorded the service.

You could hear gunshots and see people running and taking cover.

People inside told Channel 11 they heard nearly 60 gunshots as they were there to mourn Hornezes after he was shot and killed in a triple homicide in the Northside two years ago weeks.

At this point, police have not released any information about what motivated Davis and Nixon to fire dozens of shots outside his funeral.
